Box QR is local-first. Box labels, contents lists, QR identifiers, and photos are stored only in this browser (IndexedDB database box-qr, with a localStorage backup key box-qr:boxes:v1). Language uses localStorage (box-qr:lang). Nothing is uploaded to our servers for accounts or backup.

There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no server-side stash of your boxes or photos. There is no cap and no paywall.

A printed QR encodes a URL on this origin with a box id. Opening that URL on this device shows the matching local box. It does not fetch box contents from a server.

JSON export and import stay on this device.
